All I did was post what the news story said, just like we do every minute of the day on this forum.

The organizer of this rally is a top Republican religious leader who supports Uganda's proposed "death to homosexuals" law.
Islam supports death for homosexuals too, and often carries it out, but you don't seem to have a problem with that religion.

I'd like to see a poll of the "none" voters, asking the question - "Should anything be illegal?"

I never said I had a problem with Christianity either. Nice try.

Actually, it was a terrible point. I never said a negative word about Christianity as a religion.

Hopefully more and more Christians will step up to protest the things that are actually threatening our Democracy instead of issues that are none of their holier than thou business.

I disagree with all of them, but I didn't vote. My philosophy stands with Jesus. Don't focus on the issue. Focus on the people. That's what Jesus did (i.e., The Woman Caught in Adultery). Laws don't stop people from doing what they want to do. I sense that a lot of Christians, even myself at times, put too much hope in this world when it is quite clear that our (Christians) hope is in Jesus.

What a horrible bunch of people that rally must have been.

Did you notice these words at the end of the article? Last month Chief U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker struck down Proposition 8 as unconstitutional. The measure approved by 52 percent of California voters in November 2008 amended the state Constitution to outlaw same-sex unions five months after the state Supreme Court legalized them.

It seems to me that those words point out that California's constitution had already been amended by the state Supreme Court before the voters voted to amend that section. Are you one of those who thinks that judge made law can be used to amend constitutions?

Except, if you'd bothered reading the ruling, you'd know that Judge Walker ruled it unconstitutional according to the US Constitution, not the California Constitution. This was a FEDERAL court, not a state court. Since you're former teacher, I'm surprised you didn't do a better job of doing your homework.
