Excellent news. Just shows you who the Pay Czar is NOT watching and even with majority ownership the government still lets those CEO's get high bonuses.

And if they can't control bonuses at companies they practically own, you expect them to reign in the likes of bankster and other CEO salaries ?????

Keep that koolaid flowing folks...Obama and his administration are for the "working" man only the working man happens to be a bankster or CEO.

He doesn't even make the top 100 list for CEOs, although I see the guy from Ford in there.
So you're defending this bonus ?
And BTW..Ford did not take any government money so it's a moot point.

I guess I am defending it somewhat, given that he doesn't appear to be paid anymore than other CEOs for being responsible for the leadership of an international company of that size and complexity.

If I had looked and most other CEOs made 2 million than yeah this would seem out of sorts, but this guy isn't even in the top 100. Does taking government money mean they are supposed to start underpaying people and be successful?

I just don't get the angst over it. CEOs of large companies make a lot of money, been that way for quite awhile. I don't give a **** about the partisan attacks I have no idea how involved Obama is in this (I doubt much) it's just that his salary seems in line with his position yet people go nuts over it.

You'd rather CEO salaries be in more equitable proportion to workers' salaries?

GM made nice profits in the last couple of quarters and as you (or some of you) know, went public last month I think.

Yes; are you aware that after its prodigious turnaround the company recently went public, and that the government intends to sell off its shares as soon it can?
