Sure they have made money, this company was one of the worst run companies in America. I would assume any company could turn a profit if you could make all your creditors disappear and get pumped with $50 Billion dollars of taxpayers money.

Bonuses for what? Fleet purchases from GM to GE is an insider deal that smells of crony capitalism not worthy of a bonus.
Well, I don't build cars, work at corporate headquarters or anything else for GM - but I do work at a Chevy dealership and feel like I need to "defend" the automaker.

yes. AIG owes $50B, and GM owes $25B. Government owns 500 million shares of GM stock though, which is worth nearly $13B at current market prices. Not sure what the stake in AIG is though.
