Despite President Obama's moratorium on U.S. deepwater drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, the U.S. Export-Import Bank intends to guarantee $1 billion in loans to PEMEX, the Mexican state oil company, to bolster the company's oil drilling in the region.

The bank, which is the official American export credit agency, loaned more than $1 billion to PEMEX in 2009 -- when the company was the bank's largest borrower -- in support of its drilling activities.

The Moratorium is NOT about safety or the environment. It is ALL about getting those rigs into foreign hands and helping his buddies, which in turn is wealth redistribution.

The moratorium is in the US. Soros can do what he wants and we're only too glad to help him financially.

Fat loans to brazil and mexico to aid their drilling, but a moratorium on US drilling in the gulf?
Does that make sense to anyone?

Every day this moron American hating idiot does something to hurt America.

What a mistake that was made allowing this racist hateful anti American bum in our WH.

Has American learned it's lesson now that this fool has found ways to destroy our country in only 21 months?

Big oil and the right have been butt-buddies forever. The repugs let the reigns loose leading to the gulf oil disaster and even one bowing down to their master apologized to the BP exec on national tv.

Wasn't the moratorium enacted after BP (British Petroleum) created a massive oil spill. You didn't have a problem when the rigs were in British hands, but now have a problem when they are turned over to Mexican oil companies?

The moratorium on drilling was on deep-water drilling.

"None of these projects involve deepwater drilling," bank spokeswoman Maura Policelli told FoxNews.com in an e-mail.
The end.
