This two part series just won the Sidney Hillman Foundation award for excellence in journalism. The series is about ´how a tiny Florida town of eighty families challenged the Lockheed Martin Corporation to compensate it for the devastating pollution caused by a defunct plant which manufactured parts for nuclear weapons.´

Not far from where I currently reside.
I hope we are all rooting for the small towners.

I am in a very anti corporate mood today- The Chase Banking online site has been down for over 24 hours. Disgraceful.

But I digress..

Right. The trial lawyer's association is a bunch of altruistic good guys and the "plaintiffs" in those cases are well rewarded for thier "damages".

The trial lawyer's association are modern pirates who initiate class action suits which only help themselves (and help themselves they do). The democratic party and the trial lawyer's association are one, and no efforts will ever be taken by the democrats to curb thier piracy of US corporations.

They used to publically hand pirates. Perhaps when the nation comes to their senses, perhaps the class action attorneys may be welcomed with similar treatment.

Trial lawyers take their cases to juries made up of your fellow citizens. It's not as though they get to write themselves a verdict. If the company has a good defense, that gets presented to the jury as well.
