As for your last statement..do you really want to go there? There is now a party so extremely right leaning with candidates such as O'Donnell that are bringing us into a culture war as opposed to a political election. These are people that are hell bent in their desire to permeate our government with their Theocratic agenda. Not the first time this has reared its ugly head in our nation's history and probably not the last, but your damn right if you think that many of us are not going to take this sitting down. There is no need to smear these people as they easily manage to get themselves dirty all on their own. Their agenda is pathetic, but it is not humorous.
Oh, I have plenty to say about the Republican party, but it is not their behavior and methodology that is under the microscope here. The slamming of Christine O'Donnell, based on the person rather than the politics, is par for the course these days in a party that is so desperate to hang on to their current majority that they've taken to implementing school yard bully tactics against those they fear rather than debating the foundational issues put forth by that person's campaign.

It is the Democrats who fear losing the majority and it they who have ramped up the ugly, personal rhetoric that the majority of Americans, me included, find repugnant and off-putting.

In one breath, you state that there is no need to smear such people, but in the next, you do just that. This is one of the reasons that approximately half of the Independents in this country are turning away from the Democratic party this election cycle. That, and the ever growing monster of a government machine that requires increasingly more of our tax dollars while becoming less and less efficient in its management of those same dollars.

I don't vote party lines. I voted for Hope and Change. I, like many other Independents, was sick and tired of the status quo. Although, I didn't like the alternative, I now wish I had cast my vote third party, because I regret the fact that my vote helped to bring about this administration.

But really, when it comes down to it, most politicians are exactly the same, they merely wear different labels. Fortunately, there is a small segment of politicians who are speaking to our "bigger government, more tax dollars, shrinking middle class" concerns. Unfortunately for your side, none of them are Democrats.

Christine O'Donnell resonates with a segment of voters who are tired of having smoke blown up their tailpipes by business as usual politicians. Attacking her personality rather than her politics is not going to change the minds of those with whom her political platform strikes a cord.

The personal attacks merely make the Democrats look small, petty, and scared.

If she did this fine, then she deserves to pay. However, the Dems have been downright desperate and have used pathetic tactics to try and save themselves.

And let me guess, you probably hammered her for her admission 11 years ago to playing around with witchcraft, yet you have no qualms with the political beliefs of socialists and marxists who plague our political system?

If she is innocent of this, I hope it is revealed. However, with the amount of heat and beatings she is taking from the sick, twisted, desperate Left/media, I dont think she has a chance.

This country needs more average, real people to get into politics. Most of the bums in DC now have to go. On both sides. If our founders were alive today, and saw how rigged our political system is, and how full of self serving, rich, powerful crooks that "serve" us, theyd be so ashamed of us for allowing this to happen.
The country does not need this woman! Usually we find out about the dishonesty and lack of integrity after the person has been in office and has had the time and connections to get corrupted, This O'Donnell is showing us who she is right off the bat and you still support her. Utterly amazing and yet...not surprising. You might consider working for her campaign since you think that she is so upstanding and credible. I hear that she pays well, oh wait...she doesn't...

She was living on campaign donations - using them for rent and personal expenses, while leaving her workers unpaid and piling up thousands in debt. She wasn't concerned about conservative causes. O'Donnell just wanted to make a buck.

a hit piece is not evidence of a crime. until there is real evidence, i will support her. but again i ask you, do you still support charlie rangel? even though there IS evidence if him committing crimes? you know, crimes like tax evasion? if rangel were not in congress, he would have been arrested and be in court on tax evasion charges right now.

Of course Melanie Sloan's slander trail will be long after the November election.

He or she better hurry up and file those charges or George Soros will destroy their career next.

"Organizations that receive Soros funding, directly or indirectly, include Human Rights Watch, the Center for American Progress, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), and the New Democrat Network (NDN)."

And the Soros funded front groups are going to save us by destroying Tea Party endorsed candidates (anyone he can't buy)?

If she is not charger or is charged and is aquited we expect a complete apology. Are you man enough?

If she is charged and found guilty I will be the first to say she deserves any punishment that is determined by the court.
