Slain boy's mom lashes out at dad in Harris Co. case | Houston & Texas News | Chron.com - Houston Chronicle

If found guilty, why shouldn't this person get the chair? If not the chair, then lethal injection or something.

He should endure an 8 hour beating leading to his death, just like he did to his poor son. Lethal injection would be too good for him.

We could clear out death row a little faster if cases like this are just sent to the chair. I don't want to hear this mental illness crap either. If the original programming is faulty, send him back to his maker for revisions.

I don't have the right to take anyone's life for any reason.
Who am I to make that decision?

the man needs to die.

now what i'd like to know is "why?"

i'd like to hear his explanation for why he beat that kid for 8 hours straight.

maybe it was self defense, maybe the 6 year old was punching him.

nope...those don't seem like logical claims.

I'm probably like many people that are against the death penalty in principle, but would want it applied to whomsoever murders a loved one of mine so, I'm gonna sit on the fence on this one

so if you were sitting on this guys jury, listening to all the evidence, and you felt this guy was guilty, could you vote for the death penalty when the punishment phase came around? i certainly could.

Anyway about it, this type of person should be removed from the breeding population for the duration of his life, including the childs mother.

The Jury isn't back yet, and there could be some kind of thing that would make him innocent, but yeah, it looks pretty shut and dry. I wouldn't oppose his execution in my state, if found guilty. I'm not going to say he deserves a gruesome death or anything, just put to death, injection. If there is a God, he'll face him soon enough, if there isn't, well, at least we are rid of the pest.
