I took off on an Alitalia flight from JFK and the stewardess was smoking a cigarette leaning in the open doorway of the cockpit....this was as the plane was beginning the roll out from take off. Times have changed. The scolds and the paranoids are addicted to rules and "zero tolerance".

Someone who belongs to a movement whose unofficial leader says "You can see Russia from Alaska" should be careful about using the word moronic.
First, if you are going to put quotes around something and attribute it to someone, you should be sure it's what the person actually said. In this case, what Mrs. Palin said was "They're our next door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska."
Second, the statement was accurate, (as was your misquote.) You can in fact see Russia from Alaska.
So, can you tell us again who should be careful about using a word?
