How would you feel if the pilot was boozing and smoking pot?

That would be a firing offense as the job is so safety critical and it's illegal.

See, I'm not all black or white about these things.

Now somebody that sorts mail in the mail room, or screws in your dash board that's just not the same thing.

But in your opinion it's fine for workers that build vehicles used on public highways to work while under the influence?

First, if you are going to put quotes around something and attribute it to someone, you should be sure it's what the person actually said. In this case, what Mrs. Palin said was "They're our next door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska."
Second, the statement was accurate, (as was your misquote.) You can in fact see Russia from Alaska.

So, can you tell us again who should be careful about using a word?

Is every person who drinks under the influence or intoxicated?

Of course. But it doesn't matter, you should not even take the risk if you are in a safety critical field such as manufacturing automobiles that barrel down the highway at speeds up to 70mph.

Exactly, you might equate flying an airplane full of passengers with building a car but they are not anywhere close in risk.

It's the mentality of the USA, if you can ever so remotely link some threat or risk to some action...then here come the scolds.

Do you have proof they weren't? We see in the video they were smoking pot and drinking - where is your proof they were sober?
