The Republicans show their true colors again - helping corporate profits at the expense of American middle class jobs!
"Senate Republicans blocked a Democratic bill on Tuesday to end tax deductions enjoyed by companies that close their U.S. plants and move overseas.
Democrats say the current tax system favors corporations over American workers.
"Why in the world would millions of Americans who are losing their jobs be subsidizing operations that are closed up, and the cost of doing that, and sending jobs overseas?" Michigan Democratic Senator Debbie Stabenow said."
Good. The Congress needs to take an up or down vote on the tax hike the Obama administration wants to put in place for ALL taxpaying citizens BEFORE they leave on recess this week. Blasted cowards are not willing to commit before elections in November. Call your reps. and force the issue before recess!

Did you read your own article?
"With a largely party-line vote of 53-45". That mean only 53 democrats vote for the bill.
Why didn't all the dems vote for it?
Headlines should read, "Dems can't get enough of their own to pass bill".
If people would only read the article they might know the truth.
Besides why are we giving tax breaks for keep jobs here? Maybe we should just charge the corporations a flat rate on taxes and stop all deductions. I don't think they are making these moves for tax breaks and or tax increases they are making it for cheap labor.
This is all a result of globalism and the continued destruction of American wages and products. We were destroyed from within.
Its over and dream is over pick up and your chains and live in poverty like the rest of the world.
Government is your master.
The Repubs want to make it easy for American corporations to increase profits by outsourcing jobs - so the rich vastly overpaid corporate CEO managers can continue to give themselves billions in salaries and bonuses.
What tax breaks....no payroll taxes for 2 years ? BTW those 2 years of payroll taxes would come out of the general fund which means taxpayers foot that bill.
So now we want to pay corporations to keep our jobs for 2 years and we'll pay for that privilege ?
I thought the Dems hate corporations ? I would think you'd be glad to see them sending all their labor offshore. Then you can have your utopia with healthcare and college degrees for all.
