I'll agree that it's consistent with popular opinion, but progressivism isn't the problem. Insincerity is. Anyone can take something decent and turn it into shreds.

The question is, which party will get out of the way and allow this man to get up and find his own way to his big house in the background.

And as a proud supporter of the Tea Party I never labeled myself or anyone else as a teabagger. Just because a couple old people who aren't exactly up to speed on modern homosexual lingo wore some buttons and made some signs it doesn't mean a couple million people labeled themselves as anything.

Of course those on the left will continue to use the teabagger label whenever they can because they're spineless idiots who are scared and desperate right now and are lashing out in anger at anything and anyone who represents real change since theirs never really showed up. Just imagine what would happen if the Tea Party nationwide used a derogatory homosexual term to describe those on the left? The White House, the ACLU and every other special interest group would race to the media to attack us.

Now if the guy on the bench was the CEO of a major corporations... then it would make sense.
Not a fallacy, republican believe in giving men a hand up not a hand out. As for it being republican vs democrat, it is not. It is about progressives and how they say they will help the people but they make them more dependent on the government. More government, less freedom. If you will note Bush, Obama and Clinton are all on the same side. Not too many new presidents stayed on the part of protecting the constitution.
