In a nutshell, Israel has been destroying the homes of Palestinians, killing them, and locking them in an open air prison without access to resources.

And the Palestinians have been lobbing missles at Israeli cities, starting wars to invade with the intent of driving all Jews from the area, taking money from some of the scummiest countries on the face of the Earth like Saudi Arabia to kill Jewish civilians, electing people who might have been at home in Hitler's Germany and teaching their children that their highest calling in life is to murder Israeli citizens.

Any commentary on those actions?

FYI, the Egyptians don't let them in either. The rest of the Islamic world does not grant Palestinians citizenship nor equal rights with other members of society when they move there.

Your point? Maybe when start wars you can't win in in the name of religious nationalism, fill your newspapers with hatred and sit in "refugee" camps for a few decades instead of building a civil society, you might, just might, not have the most pleasant living conditions.

Yeah. Get rid of Israel.

Peace will break out.

Women will get to drive in Saudi Arabia and won't need a guardian and gays won't be oppressed and every other religion other than fundie Islam will be allowed.

No Iran-Iraq war.

No honor killings, no oppression of the kurds, no persecution of the Bahais.

No Iranian arresting of women for showing hair, no war over Western Morocco, no arguments over shiite and sunni. No Islamic textbooks that teach that Christians are swine and Jews apes.

The entire region will be perfect once all the Joos leave!

Right.

Default UN, the un-effective global authority

The UN at work... grinds slow and irrelevant to avoid current conflict as it's main philosophy is that of, "tincture of time and scientific neglect". Except when it comes to Israel.

Oh so slooooow........
The Law Commission summary status considering a topic since 1995 finally has an 'entire set of DRAFT guidelines for provisional adoption

Reservations to treaties (Summary | Guide)
The Commission has been considering the topic since 1995, on the basis of sixteen reports and a Note submitted thusfar by the Special Rapporteur, Mr. Alain Pellet. The results of the work of the Commission on the topic have been compiled into a guide to practice in respect of reservations, in the form of draft guidelines with commentaries. The Commission adopted a further 59 draft guidelines at the sixty-second session in 2010, thereby completing the provisional adoption of the entire set of draft guidelines.

More effective doings at the UN.... see 'effects of armed conflicts on treaties' noting the yearly summary of work accomplished.

Headline noting execution of US citizen intended to elicit emotion as an aid in making the facts irrelevant.

Condeming Israel is amazingly quick action by the lumbering UN juggernaut with such decisive announcements. Unprecedented!

Palestinian film clip

The Palestinians are being held hostage by the guys living among them, not Israel. Filming the Palestinian peoples tragedy proves they are in dire straits and that they are being held hostage by cowards who have an agenda that does not include Palestinian freedom as a priority. Their strategy of hiding behind hostages has grown old and diminishes any respect for their position.

The 2nd amendment is open to all around the world and should be especially available to Christian Palestinians to protect their home from settlers. People don't just need to survive. They need to be able to defend their survival. Why are the civilians disarmed? Who disarms them? That goes for Jews and Christians in the region alike.

The guys on the flotilla boats knew the danger. There should be no whining for going into a war zone.

In these posts, I am very critical of Israel. But this dude was stupid doing what he did. The entire flotialla was a PR stunt and was not serious. Anyone willing to die for Hamas like this dude was, well, I have no sympathy for them.

Even the Arab world knows the flotilla was a stunt. If they were serious about helping Gaza, the Saudis would have their warships escort one into Gaza. But even the Arab states know that Gaza is a festering pustule of terrorists.
