Seriously! Get into your child's head and see what they really know.

If they are school age, ask them what the President of the USA does.

I bet your surprised at what you hear. Especially the teenagers that should have a good grip on how government works.

Comeback and let us know how well our public education has taught them.

I asked my daughter and she had some right, but a lot totally wrong.
She thought our President had power like a king, only we elected them, instead of pasted down to generations. She though he, or she made all laws.
My daughter just turned 13.

She understands it much better now, that I explained it to her.
Very enlightening.

Try it. Educate your child, before our public education gets a hold of them.

My kids go to public school, and by the time they hit 13, have a very good understanding of government. Don't blame the teaching staff--they can teach it in school (and they have to in order to meet state standards) but if your child finds it boring, or can't relate it to anything, it's going to go in one ear and out the other. We watch the news together and talk about events as a family. They see us involved, and voting. It makes it real--I think that's the difference.

Brainwashing...you mean how Obama was going to brainwash children with his communist/socialist agenda by talking to them about volunteerism? Oh wait...maybe that WAS the parents...

Ask most adults and you'll get pretty much the same answers.

Better yet, ask adults to tell you about the Constitution. You'll be shocked at the lack of knowledge.

Good video and the best argument for setting a minimum IQ for voting if there ever was one.

I asked children this one day, they were around 10 or 11, the answer i got, was, he travels a lot, and he is on tv a lot to. Never heard them get into what he actually does. Perhaps, they felt he actually does do not a thing. Or they were too young. One did say, smart i think, isn't he on tv too much, too actually get any work done, smart boy.
