Democrats, from President Barack Obama on down, are trying to turn an evidence-free allegation into a major campaign theme, claiming that foreign corporations are "stealing our democracy" with secret, illegal contributions
Happened in 2008, why could it not happen now?
Obama should know how it happens, he benefited from it during his run.
The "takes one, to know one" comes into play, here.

They stole our Republic of independent States and are trying to fundamentally change it into a socialist democracy called the American nation.

As soon as Obama let's everyone know who gave him, in the 2008 presidential campaign, $200 million dollars in denomination under $200... Start with the first egregious offense first then move closer to the present.

Deal with the problem at hand. If people have something to hide, they hide it. It's a pretty simple concept.

No reason to disclose and EVERY reason to keep donors private. If they were to disclose, that would send the crazed Leftists and union goons to their doors.

You should know...your party hides everything! Oh, but that is ok for obammy and his cronies, just not for the republicans.

You think we should start with the present - wrong answer - we need to start with the past and make obammy disclose first.

Right... Now that your guy is on office "release the hounds!"

The "simple" part to see is that this is an attempt to have one party rule and silence any dissent for the democrats. Face it, Obama is a demagogue.

With a statement such as this one, no one can have any doubts about your not giving a damn about our very democracy being sold the the highest bidder. There is also no doubt that you are in full support of an Oligharchy. Your posts reflect a person that would cheer for Mussolini if he were running for office here today. Pathetic!

I don't understand the commotion about this. What is the difference if a foreign company gave money or a union gave money? Either way the average American (who statistically NOT a union memeber) is getting their needs passed over by a another group.

My local govt employee unions have cost me a lot of money in excessive taxes to cover outlandish retirement and health benefits and is one of the reasons my state (NY) and county is in dire financial straits. The unions have given millions to the Democrats only to make living here impossible for those not part of the unions.

So how much worse could foreign companies be?
