The federal government is well acquainted with syphilis if you will recall:

NPR : Remembering the Tuskegee Experiment

And you really want them controlling the health system?

And I call this B*ll Sh*t. HIV/AIDS is a sexually transmitted disease, no matter whether it be homosexual or heterosexual sex. Do you really think 'regulating' homosexual sex would allow us to drop the research into prevention and treatment of AIDS? And just how would you 'regulate' someone's sex life, anyway? Install cameras in everyone's bedroom?

Actually, I've noticed posters on both sides of the political aisle who do that - twist another's words like a pretzel until the meaning of those words is practically reversed, then argue with the twisted 'logic' instead of the original point.

Excellent way of putting it! I wish I had said that (and, I probably will someday, when memories fade!)

How about regulating hetrosexual sex then?

There are so many unwanted children in foster homes. How about the "baby daddies" producing offspring and not taking responsibilty which causes some single mothers to seek welfare, costing taxpayers millions of dollars. These children have a higher chance of growing up in unstable households, which creates even more unstable adults in later life.

There are so many people out there who shouldn't breed. Then they produce offspring and another generation is born. <<shudders>>
