Is he a Christian leader, or would he be better off as a leader of the Taliban?
IMO, regulating 'gay sex' would be one step closer to regulating sex period. Do we really want the government poking it's nose into what we do in our bedrooms? Hell no!
I'd be for that--but not on religious grounds. Homosexual sex costs us billions in terms of AIDS reserach and medical treatment and social services. Since we're paying for it through our taxes we should have a right to regulate it. He who pays the piper calls the tunes.
And I call this B*ll Sh*t. HIV/AIDS is a sexually transmitted disease, no matter whether it be homosexual or heterosexual sex. Do you really think 'regulating' homosexual sex would allow us to drop the research into prevention and treatment of AIDS? And just how would you 'regulate' someone's sex life, anyway? Install cameras in everyone's bedroom?
Note: my little rant was 'satire' exhibiting the illogical arguments put forth by many posters in which they take some idiotic opinion, expand said idiotic opinion to gigantic proportions, charge 'liberals' of agreeing with said idiotic opinion, and then express judgement of said liberals who said no such thing.
Actually, I've noticed posters on both sides of the political aisle who do that - twist another's words like a pretzel until the meaning of those words is practically reversed, then argue with the twisted 'logic' instead of the original point.

Excellent way of putting it! I wish I had said that (and, I probably will someday, when memories fade!)
There are so many unwanted children in foster homes. How about the "baby daddies" producing offspring and not taking responsibilty which causes some single mothers to seek welfare, costing taxpayers millions of dollars. These children have a higher chance of growing up in unstable households, which creates even more unstable adults in later life.
There are so many people out there who shouldn't breed. Then they produce offspring and another generation is born. <<shudders>>

I'd be fully for this..
