Yes, that's how it works. his role as an actor becomes secondary, just as it was for Reagan. Reagan is best known as a gov't rep, not as an actor.

Why all the criticism of Fred Thompson?

So he had a job before going to Washington as an elected representative. And he has one after leaving Washington.

I mean, it's not like he is/was a lifetime politician or anything.

I get it......he's a conservative, and a Republican.....that's what passes as justification for the bashing of Fred Thompson and his chosen profession whatever that may be? You peeps need to get a clue.

Somehow, I don't think he really cares WHAT the left thinks about him.
