Because science is fact and proveable. Religion is not. I'd rather believe science which there is no doubt that exists verses religion that has no proof.

The thing is, other countries are competing with us in science. Every science PhD researcher knows that whatever work he/she is doing, someone in Japan is doing the EXACT same work at the same time and it's like a race against the clock to get the patent.

That said, math/science were my worst subjects in school and I'm a socialist (history was my best, and I've caught SEVERAL people on this board not being so good with their history haha), so you need to stop stereotyping.

I agree with you on most things, and likely do on this as well. But we get enough trolling and baiting posts from the right on here as it is. No need to sink down to their level.
