who is depicted?

An example would be in sports. Some team name offend PC types, others do not.

An example from the past mixed with the present would be the Philadelphia Warriors vs. Michigan State Spartans.

Philadelphia Warriors' symbol was an Indian Headdress

MSU Spartans' is a Greek Helmet

Both are headware, yet only one of them the PC types would find offensive, despite both being used as depicting bravery of warriors.

How do Indians/native americans get on the protected/darling class while Greeks do not?

Greeks prefer to be called "Greeks" from what I understand because they are Greek, it's their nation of origin while Native Americans have the name "Indian" as a result of a mistake. They have next to no ties to south Asia.
