Clinton had operation Desert Fox, which was a four day war against Iraq to destroy it's chemical and biological weapons facilities. He sought no UN resolution to authorize it.

What say you about that?

I say four days is a much wiser choice than 8 years.

I am one who believes that the Iraq invasion was a mistake, but the war was justifiable even without WMD. Iraq had been in constant violation of multiple U.N. resolutions for the 12 years between 1991 and 2003. The same sort of passive acceptance of Germany's violation of the Treaty of Versailles is what led to WW2. Why did the U.N. not enforce it's resolutions before the U.S. went in?

A four day war is not a good as an eight year war if your are selling stuff to the military or financing the deficit required to pay for it. Just look at who really won in Iraq and are still winning in Aghanistan.

My version only works if the president is acting in the nation's best interest.

Your version only works if the president is acting in the interest of corporate welfare.

It's crystal clear which road Bush was on.

It seems GW would disagree with you, but, it's not as if he would know anyway.

No... from the Clinton admin. Check the dates of the documents cited in the DoD's presentation (click on the slides to read them):
DoD News: DoD Briefing on Iraqi Denial and Deception

And there is no evidence whatsoever that the Clinton admin's, the U.N.'s, and other countries' intelligence info cited in the presentation is faulty.
