What's up with all of these kids coming to my door and expecting me to give them free candy?

If they want some candy, they should get a job, earn some money and buy their own candy. Why should I be expected to give these little beggars a handout. Little socialists.

That would explain why we had no "trick or treat" children coming to our door. We live in a very Republican area.

Good thing they didn't come. We had bought candy twice and my husband and I ate it all. I had backup granola bars. Maybe that is why no one came. I have been know to give out apples.

Any apple given out in a Republican area should be checked for foreign objects! Republicans don't eat apples anyway. Especially Republican children. Both The Beatles and Steve Jobs are Democrats. So apple is bad!
