Ok, we all know about the shellacking he got in the midterms, we all know how much he cost his party with his radical leftist agenda, we all know his policies are failing left and right, they aren't working, only making the economy worse.

Expert: past 10 days have been worst of President Obama's 'political life'

Quote:
WASHINGTON - President Obama is coming home from his overseas trip pretty much empty-handed.

After watching his party take a beating in the midterm elections, Obama wasn't able to secure even a symbolic victory on a trip that was expected to give him plenty of opportunities to claim a win.
Well, friends, allies and enemies alike can see weakness and they won't be inclined to follow his lead on policies that have failed in the US - smart people.

A complete strike out, according to ABCNews.

At G-20, U.S. stymied on trade goals - USATODAY.com

Quote:
SEOUL — Currencies, cars and cows all blocked U.S. administration goals in bilateral meetings ahead of the Group of 20 summit of the world's top economies that kicked off Thursday night in the South Korean capital.

Despite extensive, last-minute negotiations, Obama and South Korean President Lee Myung Bak announced that a long-awaited free-trade agreement still needs work. The sticking points: greater market access for U.S. automobile and beef exports to Korea, U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk said.
Oh, don't forget the UNIONS, who must be satisfied/get payback in any deal. In fact, S. Korea is TOO green for obama.

National Review: Korea Is Too Green for Democrats : NPR

Quote:
Here's the punch line: U.S. automakers, their unions, and their allies in government — including most Democrats and Barack Obama — think Korea's fuel-economy and environmental standards are too high. They are arguing that these standards act as a non-tariff barrier to cars and trucks made in U.S. factories, because, gosh darn it, we just don't make cars and trucks that clean and green over here.
Obama can't get G-20 nations to follow his lead

Quote:
Shellacked at home, shellacked abroad. President Obama's Asia trip is extending a losing streak with the latest setback - a refusal by other major financial powers to follow his lead to revive the global economy.
He's getting even MORE thin-skinned and testy;

Obama miffed by questions on U.S. | POLITICO 44

Quote:

Asked by CBS’s Chip Reid about complaints heard from other leaders during the summit, Obama shot back: “What about compliments?”

He appeared thin-skinned about the characterizations of his time at the summit, saying that nobody wrote about leaders setting the stage for financial regulatory reform at the last G-20 summit because it “wasn’t real sexy” and criticizing reporters’ “search for drama.”
God, what a petulant, arrogant little man.

I'm counting down the days until1/20/2013 when this national embarrassment finally vacates the WH. I mean, the guy can't even get a trade agreement with S. Korea?? Pathetic.

I really was hoping that he would be successful on this trip as it would have potentially really boosted our economy and helped to level our trade imbalance, but wow. He is a complete and utter failure both at home and abroad.

Brutal, yes. And quite honest too.

He made a good point about how Obama wasn't gaining any support from other nations in criticizing China for their currency manipulation in the same week that we decide to print $600 Billion of our own. He's coming off as a hypocrite to the other nations.

Don't assume that a president McCain or Palin would have achieved anything more abroad. The US has simply lost a lot of its weight, while others have gained a lot. Like it or not, the world is changing radically, and not in favor of the US and European countries.

But, but, but wasn't obama supposed to fix all the SUPPOSED strains in our relationships? That was all a crock of sh*t you know - there was absolutely nothing wrong with the relationships with our allies.

As we have seen over the last 2 years, obama has made those relationships demonstrably worse as he is seen as very weak by friend and foe alike.

I agree completely. The last administration left Obama with a bankrupt economy and a broken foreign policy, not to mention two wars and an oil rig blowout. Looks like he'll be the fallguy for all of it, the way the spin is going.

Oh really? Under Bush the US was still considered the old war-mongering bully, people around the world hated the US. Nothing was wrong about that? And the weight of the US has been on the decline for a long time before Obama. Again, if you had picked McCain as your president, he would have returned home empty-handed just like Obama did, simply because the Asians don't need American cars. When South Koreans buy cars from the US it is more out of courtesy or pity. That is why that the agreement has not been finalized. There are simply not enough buyers for the cars the Americans want to export. They got Hyundai, why on earth would they buy a Buick or Chevy (unless it was Opel inside)?
