he lawmakers question whether Saudi Arabia is acting in conjunction with U.S. interests and whether the deal has enough checks and balances to ensure U.S. as well as Israeli interests.
Since when is the United States beholden to Israel's interests? What happens if Israel's interests are different than our interests, who comes first, their country or ours? Its getting harder to tell to be honest.

"There are a lot of questions to be answered on this," a GOP House aide told The Cable. "If Israel doesn't strongly object that doesn't mean it's not problematic."
Again, since when did the United States start having to see whether our foreign policy isn't objectionable to the Israelis? Should we just move the White House to Tel Aviv?
Someone wake me up when our government begins to work in OUR best interests again, or in the year 2123, whichever comes first.
"The U.S. would provide 20 F-35 fighter jets free of charge. That's a $3 billion value. It would be in addition to 20 F-35s that Israel already planned to purchase"
If you actually read the column, it sounds like Obama struck a deal. Sounds rather business like for a person who supposedly knows nothing and is a socialist.
Then again, Obama could follow a conservative's script to a tee and you'd still poo poo him.
Hey I actually like it. Buy one get one free. Tis the shopping season.
But, what is the profit margin on an F-35s. Are we still making money ???
Yes. Read the Camp David Accords. It explains it all.
Actually, I have as well as Talking Peace written by Carter which is exclusively about the Camp David accords.
I would point out the first and primary line of the agreement.
Quote:
The first agreement had three parts. The first part was a framework for negotiations to establish an autonomous self-governing authority in the West Bank and the Gaza strip and to fully implement SC 242. It was less clear than the agreements concerning the Sinai, and was later interpreted differently by Israel, Egypt, and the United States.
So I must ask, has UN Resolution 242 been fully implemented? If not, then is the US obligated to all other aspects of the agreement if the primary issue isn't met?
(In before the pro-socialism neo-con anti-Semitic race baiters chime in)
No no no, you're doin' it wrong. It's not socialism so long as we're giving crap to Israel or rich banksters in Wall St. But if you give food stamps to a poor single mother so she can feed her child it's evil communism and highly immoral. After all why doesn't that fat slob get off her lazy ass and get a damn job so they don't live off the back of my labor and taxes? (Never mind the person saying that normally doesn't make enough to actually pay anything in taxes but get most of it back.)
If not, then is the US obligated to all other aspects of the agreement if the primary issue isn't met?
Well it depends, Does Israel get back the Sinai and the oil fields and get to give Gaza back to Egypt?
