The Third Conservative Revolution
Laying the groundwork for the next wave of political and policy success.

By : Dick Armey, Jack F. Kemp, and C. Boyden Gray

This piece was originally published in the online journal Enter Stage Right.

The liberal media and the political pundits always seem surprised whenever conservatives transform America's political landscape. Yet it's happened twice in the past three decades. They were surprised in 1980 when Ronald Reagan became President and passed supply side tax cuts, and they were surprised again in 1994 when the Contract with America nationalized the midterm elections and ended four decades of Democratic control of Congress.
<snip>
I think it's posible to ahve a Conservative, Reagan-style revolution in 2008. We need to get ALL liberal Republicans/RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) OUT of power (ie. Lindsey Graham R-SC, Voinovich R-OH, etc) and replace them Reagan conservatives and we can revive the conservative movement incompent quasi-Mexican President Jorge Busho has damaged.

We need:

1. Fiscal responsibility
2. Tax reform, lower taxes for middle class families
3. Constitutional ammendment to end anchor babies under the 14th Ammendment.
4. Enforcement of existing Immigration laws.
5. Law repealing freedom of speech laws, such as the "McCain-Feingold Campaign Reform" and "Fairness Doctrine".
6. Ensure churches have freedom of speech and not be threatened by the feds with ridiculous "hate speech" laws who are drafted by liberals to prevent pastors from speaking against homosexuality and drugs.
7. Mandatory verification of ID before voting to stop illegal aliens and dead people from voting (yes, some dead Democrats still vote)
8. Elimination of unnecessary government departments /smaller government
9. Cut 100% of Federal funding for "sanctuary cities".
10. Mandate and fund local law enforcement to enforce existing immigration laws.
11. Tough stance on Iran and stop these madmen from developing Nukes!
12. Hire and train at least 60,000 Border Patrol Officers
13. Construct already approved and already funded 700-miles of border fence.

Those are some of the conservative ideas.

I still don't see how this applies to communism. Government is authoritarian by nature, so connecting types of regulation to communism is disingenuous. I may as well say those who support the PATRIOT Act are pseudo-fascists.

Who owns the airwaves? It seems that the airwaves must be publically owned as a matter of fact, unless and until they are sold to private interests.

I have conflicting opinions on the minimum wage, but it is simply one of thousands of other regulations that guide the economy. The government plays a large role in the economy, but this in itself has nothing to do with communism.
