That only proves my point that most Americans are sniveling, quaking cowards who will give up ANY right, ANY freedom, any dignity (and that of their own children!) to be "safe".
Trying to look forward I can imagine 2 things right off the bat.
First, that the technology will improve to the point where scanners won't even slow anyone down and they won't be noticed much, unless they actually do find a health link.
Second, that they will keep things as they are and start to exclude people who get pre-screened from extra security measures, like the frequent flyers want. Collecting info and doing background checks on people who otherwise might not be looked at opens up all sorts of possibilities.
majority of americans are ok with tsa pat downs, body scanners
saw a poll on gallup the other day saying majority of americans are ok with pat downs and body scanners.
thousands of people go through pat downs and scanners everyday, you hear about a few instances out of that thousand and suddenly its an epidemic of a problem.
this is the deal. you have a few loudmouth whiners who complain, the media jumps on it, and suddenly its a national story.
and the hypocrisy of the right saying this is unconstitutional, yet they were ok with bush creating the largest beaucracy of them all, homeland security.
so now they rail against it, but before they were fine with it. this is politics at its finest.
I think most people are ok with it if not they wouldn't fly. I also think the TSA goes overboard but thats more of a personel problem.
If the terrorist want to strike then it's going to happen, if it's not an airliner it will be a shopping mall of some big event. I believe at some point in time they will strike agian in a big way and how the people handle it will send a message to the world one way or another.

I don't recall ever getting polled and I'm sure the majority of folks who are against these measures have not been polled either. Tell me, are you ok with TSA agents running their hands around your private parts? You do realize that going through the full-body scanner does not automatically exempt you from this invasive search right? Also, keep in mind that not everyone is subjected to these increased search procedures so we aren't necessarily safe ya know.

Much to the chagrin of FOX, forces them to try to make up some issues.
