Why report real news, when you can just find anything and throw it out there?

Not just delete the story and hope no one noticed. Even after Fox has been repeatedly mocked for presenting satire as news.
One must wonder if the comments portray an even more bizarre picture of their readers. The commenter's posting about the article never even bothered to read the reference link that pointed to The Onion for a considerable amount of time. Instead many complained they were not part of his email list and commented randomly about mental health in relation to Hitler.
"It is really sad that in a time of crisis in this country with troops on foreign soil the economy lack of jobs and now N. Korea once again rattling their saber we have a President sitting in the White House that by what I read in the email is utterly losing it," Goofy1954 wrote. "We can not afford to have him in the White House at such a critical time."
This comment especially struck me. With the depth and breadth of problems as they are, would you rather have someone THINK about those problems instead of elect someone like Palin who doesn't have enough gray matter for material facts to trip past?
