Fox Nation readers confuse Onion article with real news | Raw Story

Why report real news, when you can just find anything and throw it out there?

"For a news outlet to retain credibility, standard industry procedure dictates that reporters and editors not only correct mistakes, but acknowledge them as well. Fox Nation had done neither at time of this writing."

Not just delete the story and hope no one noticed. Even after Fox has been repeatedly mocked for presenting satire as news.

One must wonder if the comments portray an even more bizarre picture of their readers. The commenter's posting about the article never even bothered to read the reference link that pointed to The Onion for a considerable amount of time. Instead many complained they were not part of his email list and commented randomly about mental health in relation to Hitler.

I tell ya, this is nothing compared to when CNN had a breaking news blaring headlines and story about a simulated terrorist attack.

Faux News continues to try and one up itself in the 'absurdity of it all' buffet. Soon they'll be as big as Roger Ailes, bloated and insignificant.

"It is really sad that in a time of crisis in this country with troops on foreign soil the economy lack of jobs and now N. Korea once again rattling their saber we have a President sitting in the White House that by what I read in the email is utterly losing it," Goofy1954 wrote. "We can not afford to have him in the White House at such a critical time."
This comment especially struck me. With the depth and breadth of problems as they are, would you rather have someone THINK about those problems instead of elect someone like Palin who doesn't have enough gray matter for material facts to trip past?

How much actor/ pageant training is she going to need to coach a concerned look in her eye, perhaps muse over complex problems? The vogue foreign policy face-- growl like a pit bull for me honey. Now your moose hunter face...
