He has some good points about Fannie and Freddie and I agree. Although the biggest problem with the busting of the housing bubble was not exactly the bust itself, it's how all of the bad mortgages were wrapped up and sold as CDO with AAA bond ratings to investors all around the world. That's what sent global markets into a tailspin.
