Southern Poverty Law Center: Social conservative organizations are hate groups
Say what again? Ok, I have my issues with social conservatives, but labeling them hate groups and putting them along side the KKK, Aryan Nations, etc... is going too far.
Family Research Council President Tony Perkins recently asked SPLC to retract the hate group designation, but SPLC Intelligence Project Director Mark Potok told The Daily Caller that will never happen.
SPLC’s Winter 2010 edition of its “Intelligence Report” magazine lists the Family Research Council as a hate group alongside the American Family Association, the Traditional Values Coalition, and 11 other social conservative groups.
The sad part is all the people who will actually believe it....instead of being properly outraged at the constant misuse of playing the race card on a totally irrelevant issue.
Apparently this stems over social conservative's views on homosexuality, but it does beg the question, where does one draw the line between contemporary social mores and a persons traditional religious beliefs?
The word "hate" has been broadly redefined over the last few years, and it's now used to describe anyone that doesn't agree with the liberal political philosophy.
So if you don't like Obama's political agenda, you're a "hater." And probably just because he's black. If you want the feds to source the money before buying another year of unemployment benefits, you "hate" anybody that doesn't have a job, and you want to see children dying on the street from the botulism they contracted from eating canned cat food.

It's really getting ridiculous.
^this.
the SPLC has all the credibility of margaret cho after 3 bottles of mad dog 20/20.
The Family Research Council whose representatives equate homosexuality with pedophilia and some even say it should be outlawed?
Even if I don't think they're a hate group in the orthodox sense of the term, I can't at all say I'm sympathetic.
