Every litigant in every lawsuit ever filed is attempting to manipulate the legal system for their own benefit. That's how it works. Well let's just hope you never get your rights violated and never need an attorney to help you with that.

I am a trial attorney. I get paid a salary. I get paid the exact same whether I win or lose a case.

You seem to have this erroneous idea that all trial attorneys do is personal injury cases, which in fact, I never do.

Please get back to us when the flippin girl scouts hijack some planes and stage the largest terrorist attack in history on American soil. I might also dislike the girl scouts if they taught their members that they should kill anyone who disagrees with them.

Was that indicative of prejudice? Please let me know because I want to be sure that I'm being clear on this. Thanks.

The lawsuit, filed in the Northern District of Georgia, seeks unspecified punitive damages and attorneys' fees. It claims that the city "demonstrated reckless indifference" to Valentine's constitutional rights and forced her to violate a fundamental tenet of her faith.
I don't get this lawsuit at all. I thought US laws/rules usurp religious law? And at the time, courtroom rules dictated no headgear of any sort. (This rule has since been changed).

Quote:
Douglasville officials at the time said they were trying to follow courtroom rules that restricted headgear, and Douglasville Police Chief Joe Whisenant characterized the incident at the time as a miscommunication.

I never stated nor implied any such thing. I simply pointed out what is a practice of CAIR to the OP. That you choose to erroneously infer something in my post that was not there is your shortcoming with logic, not mine.

Would you tell an Orthodox or Hassidim Jew he had to remove his skullcap or a Sikh man that he couldn't wear his turban and in both cases make them cut their hair and shave? Muslims aren't the only ones with religious or cultural dress requirements. I think these ignorant Americans need to be sued to within an inch of thir lives so they learn a good lesson.

There is zero reason why breasts should be legally required to be covered and hair should be legally required to be uncovered.

Why should the city get off scott free?

So other little bigoted enclaves can harass people with their illegal laws and regulations limiting free speech, then play dumb after they get caught?

I rather think you missed my point. CAIR hasn't blown up anything either. The point was, CAIR is accused of "manipulating the legal system", which is what every litigant in every case does all the time, every day.

It was a silly and pointless thing to say.

Your post? Absolutely.

Moreover, both your post and lifelongmogal's strongly imply that we should have a different legal standard for CAIR because they are muslims.

And that is blatantly unconstitutional and un-American.

None of this has a thing to do with CAIR or with any of my posts.

You don't like Muslims and think they are all terrorists. We get it.
