McDonald's is a tightly controlled franchise operation. The US market for the most part is saturated with McDonalds. China is not. There is opportunity there for massive expansion.

Yes and lets not forget the 2003 29,000,000 welfare cases we committed ourselves to in nation building Iraq. Lets not even look at Afghanistan yet. Someone do the honest math on Iraq.

Anpther poster beat me to it but there are over 13,000 Micky Ds 9n the USA and building any more here would canibalize the demand at the existing franchisesees. There are five Chinese for every American so McDonnalds has got aways to go before they run out of mouths to feed. China could possibly support 65,000 McDonalds and if they come up with a vegie -curry or Tandore Chicken sandiwich there would be just as big a potential market in India or SE Asia.

This is a travesty!

This must be stopped!

If this is allowed to continue then money from China will flow into the United States and we wouldn't want that!

Er...
