"I object to the fact that McDonald's is getting into my kids' heads without my permission and actually changing what my kids want to eat," Parham said in a CSPI statement announcing the lawsuit.
So she is against advertising anything I suppose. HOW is her young child exposed to advertising? Mostly tv. Who controles the tv? I'm guessing mom and dad. But then that means the real bad guy here is.....uh oh!!

I have no love for "happy meal" promos giving toys away with crap food, I don't care if SF bans them or not. But McD's has changed up it meal items to include milk, juice and apples, in the place of soda and fries. But at the end of the day they are a hamburger place, they won't get rid of those. So this lady should probably learn to "just say no" to her little darling and there wouldn't be a problem.

She should also be aware that everyone and everything is going to be getting into her childs head. If that's a problem, don't have kids.

I saw this on the news this morning. After the story my six year old came into my room. I asked him what I say when I don't want him to eat something (like McDonald's) he said I say "no". It really isn't too hard. I understand they whine sometimes when we say no, but that doesn't mean you have to give in. If these parents can't win the Happy Meal battle, they can't win the really important ones either.

I don't remember anyone ever suing Cracker Jack. But I also don't see toys in cereal boxes anymore either. Was their a lawsuit I missed?

Seriously - I can't stand people like this woman. McDonald's isn't to blame. The parents who haven't adopted the word "No" into their vocabulary are.

Huh? How much is this suit costing her? Couldn't she just make the simple decision NOT to take her precious cargo into McDonald's? How easy would that be?

How can I get in on this? Let's make it a class action. I don't like that smirk on Ronald McDonald's face.

Looks like this little girl runs the house if mommy can't control a kid.
Probably closer to the truth is mommy is looking for a free ride by filing a law suit against a CO that will more than likely offer her a settlement and the little girl will get her happy freaking meal anyway.
Old hubby needs to put this nag to work if the only thing she has time to do is think of ways others owe her.
Typical citizen of another nanny state!
