The one and true welfare class in this country are the people rich enough to rent the government for their own benefit. All the poor in this country have less include that the top 0.1% that have bought the government by political contributions and direct and indirect bribes.

Either way, TANF has lifetime limits, and the end of the road is just that. The end. I can already hear those wheels turning in her head- gotta find a man.
Yes, and such a relationship based on desperation (does the word desperationship exist?) will probably fail again.
Or she might be forced to steal or prostitute herself...

I don't know if she has family in DC, if not it might be better to just move away to a more uplifting scenery maybe, with more sunshine, lower cost of living.

Won't happen if you have no money.

You got it...anyone more successful than the rest of us HAS to be corrupt, right?

Send her a note..offer to take her and her kids into your home and babysit them while she looks for work.

If you feel so sorry for her then do something because there's lots more of "hers" all over the US that will be facing the same story as money runs dry.

I am not able to help them in a material way, but that doesn't mean I can't feel sorry for them, does it?

So you think that it should be a priority of this country to raise fatherless children of lazy, irresponsible women who are incapable of closing their legs?

Or buying condoms if they just can't resist the urge.

She has and continues to have choices the only one forcing herself into that type of lifestyle is herself

A guaranteed job. That's an interesting concept.

Longtime D.C. welfare recipients prepare for life off the rolls
O'Reilly interviewed a pair of women last week to discuss what they advocate for in regard to welfare. "The good doctor" as he calls her (I forgot her name now, she's a prof at Occidental) wants basically a guaranteed job for everyone and even income for women who are stay at home moms. That's nuts. Being a SAHM is a luxury you can afford when the father makes enough at his job. It is not a right. While I agree that raising children is a "job" in and of itself, it is the responsibility you signed up for when you gave birth.

The amount of aid people want is truly disgusting. People don't like to admit that there is a massive amount of abuse on the welfare system, but more importantly, the system is so flawed that it actually disables the people from getting a real life. They know they can just mooch for years on end, they can stay at home and raise their eight kids and have a long-term live-in boyfriend who they will likely never marry b/c then his income plays a role. You are right, it's sickening. It's even more sickening that some see no problem with any of it (read: the liberals).
