Sure it would. How you gonna flush all those talibon outta the mountains? If they had a way to do it they would have done it by now. They will just wait it out like they did against the ruskies.

There was a small time period where Afghanis actually believed us to be liberators.
Yeah when we liberated em from the talibon. We leave the talibon crawls back down from their caves and it starts again. There is a reason why we are there and in Iraq, Kuwait the whole mess and it goes back to the deal we cut with OPEC back in the seventies. We will remain until our monetary policy changes that I will guarantee no matter who is president.

The "Talibon" isn't what we were out to get rid of. Thats a loose term, just like the "northern alliance" was a loose term.
Mainly, we were there to make sure that Al Qaeda didn't get a free run there. The Talibon could actually be reasoned with. But the mission was so vague we didn't know what was what.
First, we were after the terrorists, then the Taliban because they were restricting womens freedom. Then we didn't care at all.
There was about a 3 year window where most of the people of the country were ready to actually build something. We ignored that problem for Iraq, and thats why we are in both countries, IMO. Can vary from person to person. I feel that if we focused on the one war, Afghanistan, we could have been out in as short as 5 years, with a solid NATO alliance on the ground to keep the peace. I could be dreaming, but we'll never no, because that isn't the history that happened in this universe.
This, according to a new CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey. Only 35% approve of the seemingly neverending killing of civilians and waste of billions. Only the Republicans and the teabaggers show any significant support for the war. Of course, as most of us are aware, they're really one in the same, so that's hardly a surprise.
Democrats oppose the war by a large percentage as do independents. Are you listening President Bush, er, Obama?
considering that the president has done suck a **** poor job of defining, for the American people, why we are still fighting, is it any wonder we feel the urge to end the conflict.
