A bit of good news in the battle against the eco-twirps. Slowly people are coming to their senses regarding the causes of global warming, oh, my bad, I mean climate change.

Hugh guesses several companies are in the same situation with regard to their CFIs and will simply do what PSEG plans to -- bank them in the hopes that a future cap-and-trade system will accept them.
When I was a kid I have a bunch of Confederate dollars. I thought I was rich. I just need to hold on to them a little longer.

i dont understand how people can say "cap and trade" and not think that it sounds like a terribly evil and corrupt program.

I can't tell if you believe man's impact on the earth's climate is made up or whether you are being sarcastic. I hope it is the latter.

sobro, look at this:

"Dry air contains roughly (by volume) 78.09% nitrogen, 20.95% oxygen, 0.93% argon, 0.039% carbon dioxide, and small amounts of other gases."

so our atmosphere is about .039% carbon dioxide.

human activity is responsible for the release of about 3% of the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
the other 97% is released naturally.

so .039% carbon dioxide, we contribute 3%. so we are seriously supposed to believe that we are impacting the climate when we contribute such a tiny amount of this gas to the atmosphere?

Thanks Captain for holding down the fort. I've been out driving through midtown making illegal left turns and parking in bus stops.
