I don't think they want to expose too much about what's actually in the Law, after all, they spent almost 2 yrs working at confusing and misstating what is in it.
Pretty sure the Republicans would like nothing more than talk about how much it is going to cost and just who put this thing together.
I don't care about the other stuff...some of it is good and some is not so good. Just highlight how much this costs the federal government, state governments and individual people. The total cost will be overwhelming for all involved.
Big pharma's involvement in writing this bill really crippled some of the things that could have been done that would have meant real savings for Americans.
When they fully get done exposing the fraud that is this bill then have hearings that look into the real problems health care has and start fixing them. There are plenty of things that were ignored.
Of course this monstrosity will have to be repealed so a real reform can happen, there are things I like in this bill but it is too large and oversteps what the federal government should be able to do.
Until you can't afford to pay for yours once all the uninsured tea partiers flock to the ER when they get sick, driving up everyone's premiums to the stratosphere.
I wonder if he realizes NOTHING gets passed by the dems in the Senate unless the house approves?
The GOP doesn't have the votes in either chamber to override a veto, not to mention they don't even have the 50 votes in the Senate for a repeal to even get passed there. As the NPR article that was posted last night showed, even cutting the funding out of the bill outside of a complete government shutdown would be extremely difficult. Do you think the GOP is willing to completely shut down the government in order to get a repeal, or gut the funding?

The GOP controlled the White House, the Senate, and the House of Representatives from 2000 to 2006. They had 6 years to come up with their health care plan. Despite total control of government, the GOP came up with nothing. Instead, the idiot Bush and his followers attacked Iraq, chasing after non-existent WMDs, wasting away our surplus and putting the US in a deficit hole.
Don't believe Republicans when they say they have their own health plan. What they really have is a plan to let Americans die of their diseases while the Republican party is busy bombing foreign countries to show the world who's boss.
I prefer that the "Obamacare" be replaced with a completely government Universal Health Care system that does not have any private insurance involvment.

Considering how bad that congress was, I'm glad they didn't try. There is some new blood in DC, some people who have different priorities and ideas. You can't say because that congress did nothing then that the GOP has no ideas or desire to do anything this time.
"Thank you for reminding us – and the American people – of the backroom deal that you struck behind closed doors with ‘Big Pharma,’ resulting in bigger profits for the drug companies, and higher prescription drug costs for 33 million seniors enrolled in Medicare Part D, at a cost to the taxpayers of $42.6 billion.
The House is going to pass legislation to repeal that now. You’re welcome."
Maybe i misread this post....but Boehner said that? This statement comes from HIS office?

The GOP knows this, all they want to do is get Obama and the Dems on record again as being for this bill. It was huge reason as to why the GOP took the house and the Dems can keep on ignoring the American people at their own peril.
