"A Las Vegas judge has spared senior ACORN executive Amy Adele Busefink jail time for her role in a notorious voter fraud conspiracy. Judge Donald Mosley sentenced Busefink to two years imprisonment but suspended the jail time provided that she abides by the terms of her probation. She was also fined a total of $4,000 and ordered to perform 100 hours of community service. This isn’t the first time Busefink was involved in shady electoral dealings."
The Daily Caller is calling it a "relatively stiff sentence." Are they kidding?
In an unrelated story, a bunch of Junior High School girls got a 3 day suspension for inviting fellow Facebookers to their "Attack a Teacher Day." I wonder if they also would have taken away their cell phones if classmates who accepted the invitation had actually done it. Meanwhile, the authorities say they took it seriously and saw it as a "teachable moment" for other kids in the school while noting that the girls were excellent students. And if they weren't excellent students would they have gotten a 5 day vacation instead of a three day one?
What does it take to get expelled and/or jail time these days?
Depending on your party alignment, "voter fraud" can be considered an achievement.

Voter fraud is meanwhile a specific offense under law, and so is the different offense of voter registration fraud. The difference between the two is roughly the difference between burglary and shoplifting. One is stealing. The other is being stolen from.
The right-wing is currently engaged in a campaign to claim that "voter fraud" is actually a catch-all term that covers a variety of election-related offenses. This is false and a blatant attempt to cover up for their persistent and deliberate misuse of one term for the other as part of a conspiracy to smear and defame ACORN, and if possible lie, distort, and misrepresent sufficiently to shut down ACORN's efforts to register those living in urban minority and low-income communities, people who don't vote -- and don't vote Republican -- as often as some other demographics do. The whole effort is about as honest as O'Keefe's hoax-videos, but hey, give them an "A" for achhievement.

She was convicted of a MISDEMEANOR, voter REGISTRATION malfeasance. Not of VOTER FRAUD, actually.
two gross misdemeanor counts of conspiracy to commit the crime of compensation for registration of voters.
probably from trying to register more people in the graveyard.
Obviously you are not familiar with the details of the case. According to the prosecutors, she broke the law by offering bonuses to employees who exceeded voter registration goals. Such compensation is illegal in Nevada. She essentially pleaded no contest. She didn't plead guilty. Nothing was proven in a court of law.
Your flippant remarks about "people in the graveyard," have nothing to do with the case, and are clearly intended to be inflammatory, rather than actually adding to the discussion.
