Such faith in bureaucrats and politicians is not healthy. Wouldn't you like to actually see proof? This is not the 1800s, we have the internet, which comes with the ability to actually see the birth certificate online.
I have to ask if the state of Hawaii is so inept, that it cannot produce actual birth certificates of the people born in their state?? Even after two years of national attention, the best we get is the gov telling us he saw something written down, but no actual document to show us.
the official birth certificate was made available online thru obama's campaign.
hawaii can not release more vital records because they are inept, they can not release them to the public because it violates hawaiian law ( same privacy laws that many, but not all, states have ).
Game-changer! Arizona to pass 2012 eligibility law
This "reporter" is so full of sh*t that it's hard to know where to begin.
For starters, he asserts that Kapiolani and Queens were the only hospitals in Hawaii where children were born in 1961. In fact at least two other hospitals were doing so at the time; Tripler Army Hospital and St. Francis Hospital, Honolulu.
So we know out of the gate that this "reporter" is making stuff up as he goes.
Second, he never actually says Abercrombie told him anything about his "search" at all. He doesn't even say he spoke to Abercrombie... mentioning only his "office." Listen to the interview. He never says, "Neil told me he couldn't find a birth certificate," or anything close to that. He doesn't even say Abercrombie's office told him anything close.
Third, he claims that Abercrombie searched "the hospitals" for the records, but says nothing about searching the DoH. This is just nuts... for two reasons.
One, hospitals are not required to keep medical records for 50 years. Two, a hospital wouldn't keep those records as a "birth certificate," so the claim that no birth certificates could be found at a hospital (rather than the DoH) would simply require somebody be an idiot enough to look for one.
Then the guy finally goes on to say that Abercrombie "publicly" admitted there was no BC. We know this is not true, and certainly a private admission to this "reporter" (which he never actually claims happened) is not a "public" anything... indicating that this "reporter" is merely passing on the second hand information dishonestly alleged by WND.
Pathetic.

I have seen the birth certificate online. It's been there for more than 2 and 1/2 years.

No one is referring to the short form, this whole mess is about the actual long form birth document, complete with signatures, dates, doctor, etc.
It would only violate the law if 0bama won't let them release it. Same with his transcripts from the schools and colleges he attended.
If a simple signed release by the president would silence all his critics, and make them look like fools, why doesn't he just do it?
This is Arizona's second try at this... and they managed to make it even more unconstitutional than their first try.
a quick look at the arizona bill:
1. AN ORIGINAL LONG FORM BIRTH CERTIFICATE THAT INCLUDES THE DATE AND PLACE OF BIRTH, THE NAMES OF THE HOSPITAL AND THE ATTENDING PHYSICIAN AND SIGNATURES OF THE WITNESSES IN ATTENDANCE.
right off the bat this is unconstitutional under the "full faith and credit" clause. the US state department does not require hospital name and doctor's signature on birth certificates. many states don't.
also, under this criteria, every president of the united states would have been ineligible with the exception of four ( carter, clinton, g.w. bush and obama ). but then again, none of those four have released a form to the public containing a doctor's signature and name of a hospital.
2. A SWORN STATEMENT ATTESTING THAT THE CANDIDATE HAS NOT HELD DUAL OR MULTIPLE CITIZENSHIP AND THAT THE CANDIDATE'S ALLEGIANCE IS SOLELY TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
this would be an additional requirement for presidential eligibility and would require an amendment to the constitution. states can't do that on their own.
3. A SWORN STATEMENT OR FORM THAT IDENTIFIES THE CANDIDATE'S PLACES OF RESIDENCE IN THE UNITED STATES FOR THE PRECEDING FOURTEEN YEARS.
the constitution says nothing about the 14years being the preceding. in fact eisenhower would not have been eligible if this were true. the constitution also says nothing about the 14years being continuous.
the first three requirements are unconstitutional and easily verified as such. i'm not sure if rep. burgess is just grandstanding or is truly ignorant of the constitution and presidential history.

see the proposed arizona bill above. two if not all three of those points ( depending on your definition of "original") would not be satisfied by the release of a "long-form".

this should be a simple test that any birther could do with a simple phone call. if you are over 35 ( keeping it consistent with presidential eligibility ) call up the hospital you were born at and request a copy of your birth certificate ( make sure it contains all the information you require for proof of birth ). if they have it for you, great. just let us know the hospital for verification.

Right. I am 50 and got a copy of my birth certificate two years ago without problem. Keep in mind that most parents retain a copy of their children's brith certificates as well.
I have no problem with Obama being a Kenyan. Next time, however, let's just get a better Kenyan to lead the nation.
