If you are one of Obama's buddies, or donate huge sums to his campaigns (one may result in the other...), you can get exempted from ObamaCare.

There are now 733 exemptions and the number is climbing fast.

Wow, you got your information from the Washington Times. What an incredibly unbiased and totally reliable source whose leadership does not have their own agenda in ANY way! [/sarcasm]

If it makes you feel happier, it was just declared unconstitutional.

Interesting. You don't dispute the facts. So you must agree with them, but just don't like the source.

Little people typically attack the source when they can't dispute the facts.

Giving companies time to comply with a federal law?

Come on people, we went from "Obamacare" was going to kill your grandma to "oh my goodness they are exempting companies for an extended time." I'm seeing how the right's lies and distortions about health care regulations are crumbling.

No,had cancer back in 87 and rates went to 1800 a month. thanks to obamacare they now have to accept me and it is only 2300 a month. sorry but working folks always get screwed.if I get sick again I will go indigent and let social services decide if I live or die. obamacare rewards the nonworking useless at the expense of the working folks. really dont care anymore just dont steal my money while I'm still alive.

If you would spend 10 minutes doing a search you would see that the list the the Times posted is a product of the White Houses Human Services website. Before you go off referring to biased sources you need to check the actual source of the information.

If you based your vote on the amount of energy you invest in research I can clearly see why you voted for the village idiot..

I believe they're up to about 40% for exemptions of large unions. How is that fair for the every day average worker/person who isn't part of a large union? It's not. The whole thing is flawed and was rushed into law with out due diligence and thoughtful debate and TRUE, GOOD reform for everyone. It's a joke.

I should know better than to read anything in the Washington Times, but I read it anyway. Wrong, wrong, wrong.

See: Helping Americans Keep the Coverage They Have and Promoting Transparency | HHS.gov

Lots of accurate information there.

As for the waivers (NOT exemptions):
[1] Yes, unions {gasp!} have applied for and have been granted waivers. So too have health insurance providers, corporations, and state governments.

[2] The waivers are for one year. After one year, the organization can apply for another one-year waiver.

[3] The waiver are temporary. All waivers end January 1, 2014. See: Annual Limit Waivers | HHS.gov

[4] As of January 1, 2014, all new and existing health care plans must include no annual limit on coverage.

[5] As of January 1, 2014, tax credits for individuals, and other subsidies, as well as tax credits for small businesses, will help make the health plans in the various health exchanges more affordable.
