First in line to be granted a waiver: Government Electric

Obama issues global warming rules in January, gives GE an exemption in February | Timothy P. Carney | Beltway Confidential | Washington Examiner (http://washingtonexaminer.com/blogs/beltway-confidential/2011/02/obama-issues-global-warming-rules-january-gives-ge-exemption-febr - broken link)

Maybe GE CEO Jeff Immelt's closeness to President Obama, and his broad support for Obama's agenda, had nothing to do with this exemption. But we have no way of knowing that, and given the administration's record of regularly misleading Americans regarding lobbyists, frankly, I wouldn't trust the White House if they told me there was no connection.

And if the waiver had not been granted you would be here posting how unfair it was to impose this regulation, right?

Correct. Our bureaucracies are out of control in governing via regulation instead of allowing these policies to pass public review and scrutiny via legislation.

But, we know Obama is all about rewarding his friends and punishing his enemies, because he has said so.

And with everyone else the EPA has an iron fist.
Here in Texas we had rolling blackouts due to 2 generators going offline from the freezing weather.
Then it became known that several other generators were operating way below capacity to stay withing the EPA guidelines. Texas got an emergency exemption so they could let those generators operate at full capacity.

Just wait til the EPA gets really entrenched in this and then get a blizzard or ice storm.
How will those solar panels and wind turbines work ?
Plants will operate way below capacity until they can afford to retrofit.

It pays to kiss the president's rear end, and GE has big puckery lips.

What you are showing here is another example of the waivers given to all those unions that spent so much money on Obama's election. It will become very sickening to most of the people as soon as the non-MSM tells the nation what is going on.

The exemption is not a surprise.

It was expected.

By GE that is.....
