My answer to that is.....wouldn't Obama give him the permission? If not, then WHY?

Right in this thread we have people arguing that obama's father's status makes Obama automatically ineligible. What is the release of any documentation going to do for them?
Further, the leaders of the birther movement (for example, orly taitz) all come off as total nuts any time they get their name out there. Why pander to nutcases? It makes the GOP look bad when they have to play the awkward game of pandering to them without seeming to pander to them. Some speculate that castle lost the GOP primary in Delaware because he pissed off a loud town hall filled with activist birthers. Why not let the base keep shooting themselves in the foot over one of the stupidest political conspiracy theories ever?
When Bill Clinton was running against Bush the Elder, the Bushes got the CIA to investigate whether Clinton had applied for British nationality while he was at Oxford. Ah! the Republicans are worse losers than John McEnroe.
Mitt Romney's father George also ran for President back in the 60s. He had been born in Mexico where his polygamist grandfather had fled to avoid getting arrested. I cannot recall that George Romney's foreign birth was a hindrance at the time. And of course John McCain was born in Panama, wasn't he?

So if I take that into account, then the Governor of Hawaii himself must have gotten involved in a "conspiracy".
What would the release of an actual certified COLB from the Hawaii Board of Health prove? It would END this debate once and for all and that's why the Governor attempted to locate one, but couldn't.
What other President in history, or ANY elected official for that matter, has spent the millions of dollars on sealing ALL data that Obama has? Why must this guy be a mystery? I know why, but do you?

You are again misinterpreting what he stated. He was looking through the PUBLICLY available information that he was born in Hawaii (he never stated that he was looking for the actual COLB). There are still public lists that can be consulted and his research found that Obama's birth was recorded down (written), but that's all he could confirm. THE REST is covered by PRIVACY Laws, and by those laws He isn't allowed to provide any more information that what the public are able to access

Even if that's true, it could be more that they wanted to know if Clinton DENOUNCED his US Citizenship to avoid being drafted.

Again, I'm not familiar with this story. And again, if it's true, it should be something that Americans should know about (at least at that time).

He was born to two American citizen parents in the Panama Canal Zone which was US territory.... because his Father was stationed there.
The "antecedent" in Wong, dear boy, consists of the question put forth, which was: "Is this Wong guy a citizen of the United States?"
To say that he was Native Born, in no way equates to, "he was Natural Born".
Unless, of course, his parents were naturalized U.S. citizens at the time he was Native Born, which the case record clearly shows they were not.
