"... But Beck and those like him, to Kristol, have crossed a line"

But hysteria is not a sign of health. When Glenn Beck rants about the caliphate taking over the Middle East from Morocco to the Philippines, and lists (invents?) the connections between caliphate-promoters and the American left, he brings to mind no one so much as Robert Welch and the John Birch Society. He’s marginalizing himself, just as his predecessors did back in the early 1960s."

Bill Kristol - Glenn Beck - Egypt | Mediaite

"reasonable conservatives" like Bill Kristol are even taking issue with Glenn Beck over his caliphate conspiracy theory and suggesting that Beck is over the top, crossed a line.

p.s. misspelled Kristol's name in thread title. Should be KRISTOL.

I've gotten glimpses of Beck drawing a lot of lines. I can't see how he can avoid crossing one.

How is Kristol (or in your case Kriston) a Conservative? I've never seen such evidence from that pundent as Conservatism.

I misspelled his name in thread title. Is The Weekly Standard known as a conservative magazine? Also he appears on Fox regularly as a commentator.

BILL KRISTOL:

William Kristol (born December 23, 1952) is an American neoconservative[1] political analyst and commentator. He is the founder and editor of the political magazine The Weekly Standard and a regular commentator on the Fox News Channel.

Just because an individual appears on FOX regularly or has a column in a particualr publication does not make him/her a Conservative. Is that the depth of your knowledge on the individual you cite as your example? Really?

Newsflash: Alan Combs, Jeraldo Rivera, Shepard Smith, Charles Krauthhammer, Bill O'Reilly, Ben Stein, and Bob Beckel all appear on FOX regualary too and they are not "Conservative" either. I'm certain there are others but those are others who come to mind off the top of my head.

I cannot believe that some idiots are still assuming that FOX = Conservatism. Nothing could be further from the truth. The GOP does not even equal Conservatism.

Do your own research and don't listen to any pundits.

The Muslim Brotherhood are NOT friendly to the USA, Israel, or YOU.

Bill O'Reilly not conservative? Oh yes how could I forget, he's so left-leaning, you could easily confuse him with a communist.

Every one of those people you listed are conservatives besides Combs, who was just used to look like a fool on hannity and agree with everything he said.

If not the "chosen" pundits, how did you come to learn about Muslim Brotherhood? And trust me, those are the kind of words I expect from haters. Except that "Egypt" would replace USA and "Palestine" would replace Israel. The feeling is guaranteed to be mutual.

Kristol is a neo-conservative if not THE neo conservative.
