The news is manipulated and controlled on all fronts. This should be a no-brainer. Several years ago Connie Chung was fielding questions live from an audience and someone asked her how they decide just what stories to publish and which ones to let die. She responded with, "Well, if we have any doubt we just call Washington and ask." Right after that was when she disappeared from the television news scene for several months, ostensibly to try and have a baby, but could just have easily been something akin to being placed on "administrative leave" for letting that cat out of the bag.

Here's what's funny though. FOX is trying to portray the current HCR as government run health care. The Heritage Foundation proposed the current health care reform program we recently put into place back in 1995 as the R's "free market" response to Hilary care. The Heritage Foundation even came up with the mandate as a way to fund it. Now it's a socialist/communist plot because the Dem's put the R plan in place. If that isn't propaganda and spin, I don't know what is...

None of these are examples of stuff being "just made up."
There was already a thred about the global warming point. They simply reported that there are people that question the science. That's hardly making it up; in fact, it's more responsible than leaving out that there is a second side of the story.
Those two claims are far from anything made up. Downplaying the importance of climate change is a good thing. It is not proven that man is causing it and there are more important things to worry about right now. Rebranding the public option to Government run option is no biggie as well, it means the same thing. Besides none of what is talked about in the article is actually newsworthy. All news outlets have a slant, they ALL do exactly what FOX is doing.
This is no worse than Obama rebranding tax increases as "investments".
