“After looking at the supposed ‘myths’ that Fox News watchers believe, I quickly realized that something was wrong with the study,” Doren writes in the video’s YouTube introduction. “As a result, I read the study very carefully and realized that the whole study was bogus.”
He says the study does “not have data to support its conclusions,“ and goes as far as to say it ”may simply demonstrate that Fox News viewers are more informed than the researchers.”
FNC has the numbers and the FNC haters will do anything, including lying, deceiving, and twisting facts, to try and discredit the popular news channel. They usually presents both sides of an argument quite well.
On the other hand, I tuned into NBC Sunday's Meet the Press and they had 6 fiscal liberals sitting around a table all propagandizing Obama's prospective budget. Real diversity there!
The truly uninformed are people who watch or read only those news sources that cater to their particular identity politics.
I don't know too many people who watch just Fox or MSNBC, but the people who do need to move out of their comfort zone and expand their mind by listening to other viewpoints. You don't have to agree with them, just keep an open mind to what others have to say.
To that end, I think Fox is way ahead of MSNBC in terms of providing diverse coverage and multiple POV. Bill O'Reilly has all kinds of liberals/progressives/Democrats on his show, but when was the last time a true conservative or even an Independent moderate was interviewed on MSNBC? They only show various shades of liberalism on that channel.
Ardent fans of MSNBC are the truly uninformed. Luckily, they're a very small minority of the American public.

My multinational news conglomerate is better than your multinational news conglomerate.
