Lets see Obama haters you want Bushy Junior stock market or this one? What what a great job by Obama. I love to hear the spin on this one. This market is rolling and jobs as usual will follow as a lagging indicator. Great Job Obama!!!

Speculation drives Wall Street. Wall Street is more confident since the Republican House was elected. What part of that is difficult to understand?

Still well below Bush levels.

Interesting that the markets have already risen considerably since the Republicans took the House. Definitely a correlation there.

Well, since the beginning of 2009 I have made a ton of money (realized - not paper) on the markets. I really don't care who is President, but, if it ain't broke then don't fix it.

Oh, and I made a lot more before the GOP took back the house than since.

Well, let's see. The Bushy stock market was just shy of 14,000 at one point, so yeah, I'd rather have the Bush SM.

And I seem to remember the Left vehemently denying the stock market had anything at all to do with the state of the economy at the time.

Which goes to prove that when the Dems control Congress that the market is more volitile (Wall Street less confident) thus greater opportunity to buy/sell on the more frequent swings. Thanks for helping to prove my point. The market prefers stability of a split government and gridlock.

Well, I guess we should be thankful to Bushy for one thing ... the crash. The recovery (under Obama) from 6500 was where the real money was made. I did 46% return on capital employed in just one year. If Bushy hadn't caused the crash it would have been much harder to make money

You have a real obsession with the "Blame Bush" mantra don't you? It keeps you from understanding the markets. In my experience those who are sucessful with investing wealth rarely brag about it to strangers. YMMV.
