It heard this reported this morning that a woman had to stay home with her kids while this protest is going on and she lost her job!
I think the parents of these so called teachers are going to start speaking out and we will see yet another outrage of this!
If they want to protest on their own time, that is one thing, but they are only concerned about their own paychecks!
Thye can not have an illegal strike thinking they can do it like this ans still get paid, I wish the GOV would fire everyone of them that is not in their class room Monday morning!!

So some rep knows of a woman who lost her job but gives no detail and you give no link? And we are supposed to believe you or him even?

You might want to direct you anger to the person who has won what he said he wanted, but still won't allow resolution due to what he didn't say he wanted, but obviously does. The Gov.

I'm sure parents won't be standing for this much longer. But please provide a link, otherwise we'll have to assume the story is false.

I see you missed many days of school. When Democrats won elections , they rewarded the unions with money and benefits, the unions rewarded the Democrats with campaign contributions, paid air time and votes. It is no longer that time . Republicans won , they promised to do this , and they are .

She can blame the Governor and the GOP. MI would have no deficit if it was not giving huge corporate tax breaks. It is the GOP that is out to destroy workers. Remember the GOP's new motto - socialism for the rich and capitalism for workers.

For some schools you will get no teachers other than who you have. Who wants to teach deliquent students who have to be taught in semi-lockdown? You think a teacher in the private sector would do that? What teacher in the private sector would want to have buy their own school supplies so they can teach? Teachers are an easy scapegoat, they are not the cause of the problem.

WI had a small surplus last year, why all of a sudden are they broke when the GOP takes over?

Please give a link to this new motto since you attribute it to the GOP.

For some schools you will get no teachers other than who you have. Who wants to teach deliquent (sp) students who have to be taught in semi-lockdown? You think a teacher in the private sector would do that? What teacher in the private sector would want to have buy their own school supplies so they can teach? Teachers are an easy scapegoat, they are not the cause of the problem.

So far, it appears the delinquents are the spoiled, immature "teachers" who play hooky for a week to throw a public tantrum.

You'll have to ask Democrat Doyle. This is the mess he left Walker:
Quote:
Democratic Gov. Jim Doyle's administration on Friday told Republican Governor-elect Scott Walker that he would have to cope with a $2.2 billion deficit in the state's upcoming two-year budget, but this brighter-than-expected forecast contained more than $1 billion in hidden pain.

To arrive at the favorable estimate, the Doyle administration's estimate assumed that Walker and lawmakers would make spending cuts that have yet to actually happen - two more years of state employee furloughs, no pay raises, a virtual hiring freeze and belt tightening in state health programs. Without that $1.1 billion in savings, the state's projected shortfall rises to $3.3 billion - a significant increase over previous estimates that put the gap at between $2.7 billion and $3.1 billion.

The shortfall and the efforts to close it could affect everything from schools and health care to local governments and taxpayers.
Report on Wisconsin

Everyone knew how bad Democrat Doyle had screwed Wisconsin going into this. How is it you didn't know?

She's in Wisconsin. What did she do when they've had a blizzard and she had to stay with kids then--did she lose her job? I'm in the upper Midwest, and we've missed six days of school this year due to snow/ice--some years it's as many as 10 days. Without a name or someone coming forward to tell their story, I think this is probably so much BS. If she DID lose her job because an employer was unsympathetic because every school was closed, her employer is a jerk.
