and the pictures I have seen, the protesters are a sea of white people. Funny, you don't here the media querying their viewers as to whether or not the protesters are a bunch of racists, like they did over and over when showing videos of the TEA party rallies.

So in your mind, tea partiers have the right to free speech but union and liberals don't?

Nooooo, that would be your line of thinking along with the mainstream media.

Everyone has a right to free speech.

These people are public servants, striking and protesting against the people who have been raped by the deals the unions and politicians made on our behalf. Just how does that equate to people trying to reign in a government gone wild in an effort to save this country? You are trying to link polar opposites as being alike, things that aren't even in the same universe. Do you even "get" why you're losing traction? The disconnect is utter madness.

Not only that, but if you're a government employee the public is 'entitled' to be abusive. Tell the cops to sit down, it's perfectly acceptable to declare open season on real estate agents causing the housing bubble. Repugs already made their money. It's cool.

Meaning it belongs to them just as much as it belongs to the rest of the People. Heck maybe even more so since they provide a service for the People and most others do Not. Thanks for the reminder.

I was a contractor in Cali for 30 years, why?

The implosion of the housing market, untenable labor situation, cost of fuel and supplies forced me into bankruptcy. I did manage to pay over 75% of my debt in an effort to avoid it, but in the end I lost everything (except my family , so I'm still rich). I've had to create my own home based work to survive. Being 50+ and having to start over has been rough, but I've managed to not take any hand outs.

There you go spouting blatant lies. Please show us how the public employees have been abused!!! WTH are you talking about? It is the public who have been abused for decades, and we're tired of it. ZERO violence from us as the unions cry for blood in the streets.

Your civility precedes you. You probably hate the tea party based on what you've been told rather than experience. Do you even know anyone in it?

From my experience, Tea Party members have been the perfect example of peaceful protest unlike the unions, teachers and democrat senators. The double standards of these people is as recognizable as Charlie Sheen on crack. Shameful.

People in the public center have gone from being "public servants" to the ones who should be served. TY for backing up how rediculous the current situation has become.
