Here's the fine print -- sounds reasonable to me...

Any "prenatal murder" in the words of the bill, including "human involvement" in a miscarriage, would be a felony and carry a penalty of life in prison or death.

Hmmm, well the Bible sees it differently. When two men "struggle" and cause a female bystander to lose her unborn baby, the men are not liable for the death penalty, but they are liable for some punishment.

If a criminal hurts a woman badly enough to cause her to lose her baby, he really ought to be held accountable, don't you think? Right now, the abortion rights activists are so terrified of anything that might threaten abortion access that they tend to go light on such crimes.

Investigating EVERY miscarriage as a crime? No, that's just insanity. If a woman files a police report that she was attacked and then lost her baby, absolutely, prosecute. Otherwise, back off.

From the article:

"Sometimes even a fertilized egg will fail to adhere to the uterine lining, so would that make a uterus a murderer?"

No, Virginia, that would make the fertilized egg a suicide.

You know what, guys? Just STAY THE HELL OUT OF A WOMAN'S UTERUS! YOU HAD YOUR TIME IN THERE; YOU LEFT. YOU CAN'T GO HOME AGAIN!

WHAT INANITY!

Why don't these Republicans stay out of women's reproductive rights?

Seeing as the federal government recognizes a womans right to choose, I feel that this Georgia congressman will fail to succeed in his cause.

I certainly hope so. I completely support a womans right to choose within the first three months of pregnancy. Beyond that I feel there should be a medical need to determine the need for an abortion. I also feel that the morning after pill should be made available for every woman of any age, over the counter.

Let's see...... if an embryo/fetus is legally considered a person, does that mean the "baby daddy" would be required to pay 50% of the incubator's, er, I mean woman's, living expenses from the day of conception until birth?

So the police get called in to determine whether or not there was "human involvement" when your wife has a miscarriage, that will be oh so wonderful for a grieving mother. I love how reactionaries get the government out of our lives.
