All taxpayers only pay a fraction of their salary in taxes.

Ultimately, "the public" pays the majority of all salaries.

Please tell me you are being sarcastic.
If not, did you look at the Boulder Village, Colorado link?
My brother works in a rural school system in VA. He pays almost $600 a month for family coverage.

What? The public doesn't pay private salaries do they? NOPE!

Ultimately, the public pays for everything.

Salaries are paid out of revenues.

Revenues come from the public.

You do know (I hope) that consumer spending is the single largest driver of our economy right?

The person who pays sales tax is the same person who pays for the taxed product.

600 is modest. 2 incomes that is peanuts to cover a family. What are you complaining about? I doubt anyone is paying 1100. The average in the private sector is 7k/year. If they are truly paying 1100, then they got screwed by whoever negotiated that one.

Edit: They got screwed on that negotiated deal. Here in NJ where things are ALWAYS high priced, it isn't that much.

It's less than I'm paying. It's also less than most other non-union families are paying, so, yes, that benefit is lavish.

1.5 years ago, families paid an average of $13,375 for health insurance. That's MORE than what you state the school system employee is paying now, and premiums have gone up since then.
Average family health insurance policy: $13,375, up 5% - USATODAY.com

I never said it high or low. I am responding to those, and you are one of them, who throw out general statements about school employees such as, "Who else gets 100% of their healthcare and pensions paid for?" That is my complaint. Don't think that everything is as it is in NJ.
