My favorite two writers are Grisham and King, both of which tend to have a more liberal slant. I have read everything that they have written. I was trying to think of anything that I have read that had right a leaning side to it. The only thing that I could think of was Atlas Shrugged, although it was not very well written.

Do Conservatives read much fiction or do they just listen to talk radio all of the time?

King and Grisham are my favorites too.

Just finished reading "Duma Key" by King.

I finished reading all the GOOD Anne Rice books a few months back. I'm picky about what I read, though, and so Patricia Cornwell, Clive Cussler, and Tom Clancy are the norm for me.

Had a debate with 2 right-leaning posters about this very subject the other day.
They seemed to have no clue about some of the great mid-20th century authors, as well as young 20th/21st century authors.
So....based on those 2 older posters, I think I would have to say no.
Pity.

First novel I remember reading was Treasure Island when I was in the third grade. Followed that with Great Expectations. Read many of The Three Investigators books, similar to Hardy Boys, when in grade school. Some authors I've read include Stephen King, Anne Rice, David Eddings, Robert Jordan, and Tolken to name a few.

I used to read King all the time until he started churning out so many books I couldn't keep up. My favorite was The Talisman. Grisham's books are ok.

I forced myself to read the Obama health care plan and the CBO reports related to it, that was plenty fiction for a while.
