Actually, I was thnking it might be racism, discrimination, or socioeconomic status. Somehow we as a society have failed him. We need to find out how and why.
I practice family law and many married couples have sexless marriages. Perhaps more common are the marriages where couples may have relations just a few times a year. These people are often unhappy and sometimes their frustrations spill over into work, friends etc.
What few people want to talk about is the rise of "alternative lifestyles" where couples now and then add another person to the mix. Craigslist Casual Encounters is full of them and there are specific sites with millions ( yes literally) of members.
In the past priests and churches would condemn this but they are too busy looking for little boys to play with - or covering up their own misdeeds.
As long as you and your wife don't have a problem with it, who cares. Though you will not likely be a customer of certain products for which TV stations once wouldn't accept advertising. Though if homosexual groups have a lobby, maybe asexuals should as well. Have you faced discrimination in employment, education or hotel accomodations?

Within the past month I have had TWO different male friends who do not know each other relay encounters they recently had as a third individual brought into the bedroom of separate straight couples.

This is especially popular in the south and the 'third' is often from a different ethnicity. I trust I do not actually have to specify the ethnicity in question. Some go as far as to film the action and the results can be found on specialist websites. Not nearly as entertaining as one might suspect.
