think about Wendell Potter?

(Wendell Potter gave testimony before the Senate panel on health care reform. He was the head of corporate communications for Cigna and he explained how health insurers make promises they have no intention of keeping, how they flout regulations to protect consumers, and how they skew political debate using big money to spread false information. He also wrote the book, "Deadly Spin" and the underhanded crap he was lead to do for the insurance companies)

Republicans against healthcare reform especially, do you buy it or do you think he is lying and the health care companies are doing a good job for our population regarding our health, being truthful? Or do you care either way?

Do you think the government would do an even worse job? Why? Why do you trust big business to look after you?

Look at our deficit. Look at the failure of our leaders to take it seriously, even now..just look at them..no sense of urgency to take it on.
Look at how government programs turn out. Most of them are failures.

There is no reason to trust our health, your health in the governments hands. None. I realize people need health care but handing this over to the government is that very last thing we need.

This is common sense if you think about it. A real answer for it isnt easy but there is no way in hell it should be the government. They create more problems than they fix.

I simply do not want to pay for other human being's health care costs. Is that a good enough answer? Probably not so you're going to take my money from me anyway, against my will, to pay for it, aren't you?

And I don't think you should have to - as long a you opt out officially and legally.

Every doctor, every hospital will have access to a data base of those who opt out. No money up front, no care. Period.

What does Wendal Potter have to do with HealthCare reform? Insurance companies are still in business, they will remain in business. Hell - the government just gave them 20 million new customers, paid for by our tax dollars.
The insurance companies are laughing all the way to the bank at HealthCare "reform"... and don't even get me started on Pharmacuetical Companies and the deals they made with Obama.

Conservatives are more likely to have an I got mine **** you mentality. I mean, it's not even about helping other people, god forbid, or helping fellow americans, god forbid. It really does save money. Emergency services cost an INSANE amount compared to preventative medicine.

We don't have healthcare for most in this country, we have sick care. Either you have no insurance, or your insurance is terrible, and your insurance will drop you or do anything it can to weasle out of providing a service you paid for.

If Insurance companies can't survive without denying payment and price gouging, well....fine. Competition is good. Not letting them cheat people is even better.

Just because someone speaks it doesn't mean they aren't blowing smoke up your you-know-what.

Republicans wanted lots of reform.
They wanted cross state competition.
Tort reform.
The formation of larger groups all can going and so forth.

Yup. See post #4. Not only do some not want the govt. to provide health care to the needy, they don't want to provide private charity, either.
