Here is an opinion piece that I have to agree with. I wonder when some of the anti-Beck pundits will begin talking about how wrong he was when the Egyptian thing ended again. I notice that they, both sides, have toned down their talk.

This video explains all. These people are real. They think this way. That's pretty much explains it. And that is truly frightening.
Hate and fear are powerful forces.
Roy, have you ever started a thread that was not about Glenn Beck on this forum? just curious
Not in some months have I done that. I get my butt kicked off for even talking about Beck too often, but I just threw him in there so left leaners could look into the whole thing.
Have they talked a lot in the past week about his Caliphate idea? If so, point me at their talk.
If Egyptians want to form an Islamic State, that's their business. If they don't bother me or my country, I don't care.
All the pundits who keep attacking Beck for his talk about a Caliphate seem to have the same attitude you have. They mostly talk so loudly about the Egyptians winning in the name of democracy. Surely they don't see past the establishment of whatever the Egyptians end up with.
Would they bother you if they don't allow any oil ships to navigate the Suez Canal? That would raise the price of oil to the United States and surely that would be bothering your country. I guess you think we need to import more oil from Venezuala, huh?

If they don't allow any oil to be exported, they hurt themselves. Let them try it.
I'm not a facsist. I don't believe in our country telling other countries how to live.

What in my OP mentioned racism? I guess I missed it but then our agendas are totally different. Maybe you could explain what set you off about racism.
I won't discuss this again on this thread, but all that racist talk in that video bothers me a lot. I guess you don't know that those people being interviewed weren't all at the same rally. Also, may I ask if you saw that Al Jazeera was the source of that video?

It's a bunch of ignorant bunk.
Movement towards Democracy is the wave of the future - NOT movement backward towards some kind of uber-zealous religious state. This is true of the Middle as much as elsewhere. The speed of the transisition as well as the steadiness of the advance will vary from place to place, but the direction of the march is very very clear.
In an age where access to UNCONTROLLED information & communication is available anywhere on earth it's becoming virtually impossible to pull the wool over people's eyes and convincing them that they are somehow "better off" than those people in Democratic countries. Controlling peoples thoughts & therefor actions depends heavily on limiting WHAT THEY KNOW - and today you just can't do that unless you seal yourself off entirely from the outside world as North Korea has tried to do. The problem with that approach is that a side effect is that your country becomes technologically stiffled and economically hobbled - which is a recipe for eventual collapse. Either way dictators like those in the Middle East have days that are clearly numbers - and an ultra-Islamic caliphrate would share the same fate.

I see that you don't mind an Islamist government strangling us because we don't produce our own oil and have to import it from whoever can get it here. I get a kick out of you people and your use of the word, fascist.
